Live Custody via Coinbase Developer Platform

Organizations can now connect their CDP account to manage custodial wallets on Base and Ethereum directly through the platform. Wallet creation, balance queries, and asset transfers execute against real blockchain infrastructure on Base Sepolia and Base Mainnet.

Provider-Routed Operations

Provider selection is now driven by your organization's active connections. When CDP is connected for wallet custody, all custody operations automatically route through it. Organizations without a live provider connection continue in simulation mode with no disruption to existing workflows.

Verified Provider Activation

New provider connections go through a verified activation flow: connect credentials, test against the live provider API, and activate only on success. This replaces the previous behavior where all connections were treated as immediately healthy.

Compliance Approvals API

A public approvals API is now available for reviewing and resolving pending compliance and operational approvals, supporting workflows where high-value or irreversible operations require human sign-off before execution.

Guided Provider Setup

Apps now walk you through connecting the right providers before you go live. The setup wizard knows which provider categories your app template needs and prompts you to connect each one. Every connection gets a real-time health check so you can catch issues before your users do.

Third-Party Adapter Review

Your team can now review and approve third-party adapters before they run in your environment. A new Adapter Management page gives admins full visibility into pending installs with one-click approve or reject. Approved adapters run in isolated worker threads with enforced timeouts to protect your core infrastructure.
